These photos were taken with my new Casio EX-Z1080. I wanted a small point & shoot that I could keep in my purse (and therefore always have it with me) that took decent photos and good video clips. It has a sensor size of 1/1.75″ so the pictures are pretty good, and the video is UHQ @ 25fps, so pretty good video clips too (great when you have kids and want to catch those spontaneous cute moments at the park/library/store etc.) And, it’s not much bigger than a cell phone, so very portable!

why yes, it’s a crochet project (Chanson En Crochet)!

Not only was this my first crochet project (having a never crocheted more that a chain or crab stitch edge), but I finished it in about 4 days! I had seen the Chanson En Crochet pattern on Knitting Daily, but when I saw it in this post on Craftster, I decided I needed to figure out how to crochet so I could make it. It was a quick and easy project and I love it. So do all four of my girls and now they all want one too – so, I’ll be crocheting this one again.

…one of the cables are off by a stitch. So, I dropped nine stitches seven rows,

…the fix is finished and I’m on my way to a finished pair of Bayerische socks.

I needed put Bayerische on hold to knit this:

(It needs to be washed and blocked and obviously I need to sew the buttons on.)

but the older one reminds me of my mom, since that’s the one she had. I think my father gave her book away when she past away. She died almost 14 years ago of inflammatory breast cancer. If you don’t know about IBC (it’s a rare form of breast cancer) please check out the links and learn about it. Every woman should be informed and aware of this rare breast cancer.
