Students learned multiple colored pencil techniques including gradient shading, hatching, impression and experimented with rainbow bubbles to include highlights.
Students enjoyed crafting their own personal pocket sized tic-tac-toe board out of air dry clay including player pieces, painted with acrylic.
Students experimented with various oil pastel techniques to create a unique landscape composition showcasing their knowledge of foreground, middle ground and background elements.
Students learned the slab, coil and pinch pot methods of clay and created an animal mug using the coil or slab method complete with a handle followed by a pinch pot monster.
Students learned the history of origami, what radial symmetry is, and how to fold five different shapes to make a symmetrical design.
WCSD holds an annual competition for all schools K-12 to design and submit a holiday card to be displayed on their website.
